    What is Acupuncture?

    Acupuncture is a popular alternative treatment that uses the strategic placement of thin needles into your skin and underlying tissues at various points on your body. This ancient Chinese medicine has been used for thousands of years to aid with physical and mental health.

    Is Acupuncture covered by insurance?

    Most major health insurance plans cover acupuncture treatments as a safe, effective way to treat various health conditions. Check with your provider about your specific plan!  We are in network with BCBS, Aetna, and United.

    What does it cost?

    For those that we do not accept your insurance, the cost is $130 for an intake 90 minute appointment and $100 for all follow up 1 hour appointments.

    Can I use my FSA/HSA to pay for treatment?

    YES! Many FSAs and HSAs cover acupuncture treatments. Be sure to verify coverage for your specific plan with your insurance provider, because each plan is different.

    Stacey DeLaura

    Stacey received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology and Microbiology from Quinnipiac University, her Masters degree in Acupuncture/Oriental Medicine from New England School of Acupuncture, her Certificate in Clinical Hypnotherapy from the New England Institute of Hypnotherapy and the American Board of Clinical Hypnotherapy, and her CAGS in Secondary Science Education from the University of Massachusetts. She will receive a second Masters degree in May 2022 in Holistic Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

    Her treatments employ both Chinese and Japanese styles of Acupuncture. She specializes in the treatment of mental/emotional disorders, women’s health issues, and pain syndromes and includes somatic integration methods and eastern food energetics with acupuncture. Stacey is a fellow with Acupuncturists Without Borders and has been in practice since 1997.
